Description
The new owners presented plans to restore the historic 1920s theater into a 290-seat community event space, with HVAC, electrical, restroom and concessions work ahead. No formal city application is before the commission; they've met with the building department and hope to open within about a year.
Impact summary
A reopened theater could boost downtown footfall for restaurants and shops and provide a much-needed mid-size venue for performances, nonprofit fundraisers, meetings and weddings.
